BIOGRAPHY
Emerging from the heart of the Midwest, becoming a formidable force in the underground scene. Hailing from Detroit’s East Side near the State Fair/I-75 neighborhood, King Dif blends raw storytelling with a hustler’s spirit, delivering a sound that bridges lifestyle rap and progressive street narratives. Starting as a producer at just 12 years old, he evolved into a multi-faceted artist and the CEO of his own independent label, Keep Um Up Worldwide with his late older brother, K1 Soundz . His sharp lyricism and authentic perspective have earned him collaborations with prominent names such as Curren$y, Shoreline Mafia, and Mozzy, among others.
In 2012, he made waves with the release of his video “Get On”, which he described as a test of his early artistic development. After sharing it on Twitter, the video rapidly gained momentum—surpassing 300,000 views—and caught the attention of industry heavyweights like Waka Flocka Flame and Rick Ross, both of whom co-signed the rising talent.
In 2013, King Dif formally stepped into the independence with his debut project, Final Hour, which accumulated nearly 20k+ Datpiff downloads. Through his music, he vividly portrays the duality of life in his city—acknowledging the harsh realities while highlighting pride, resilience, and ambition. With his relentless drive, business acumen, and authentic voice, King Dif continues to carve out his own lane—turning adversity into art and creating a legacy rooted in purpose and passion.
